The math becomes opaque, and opacity breeds fragility.

BitMine, as a name, suggests a mining operation—likely a proof-of-work entity that pivoted to staking. This is a common narrative: energy-intensive miners, facing the post-merge reality, sought to repurpose their hardware and capital into validator operations. But miners are not DeFi natives.
